in the “Best Event Produced for a Charitable Organization” category |
Montreal, May 5, 2009 - Once again demonstrating its event organization savvy, Mina Martini was among the official jury selections in the category “Best Event Produced for a Charitable Organization” at the 13th Canadian Event Industry Awards (CEIA).
Mina Martini earned this honour for the planning, co-ordination and orchestration of the “Au-delà du Rêve” Gala, which took place October 1, 2009, at Windsor Station in Montréal. The Gala was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau. During its 20 years of existence, the Foundation has invested some $40 million in establishing a vast child-cancer centre that has earned international renown, as well as in funding research in pediatric oncology.
In addition to highlighting the Foundation’s mission and accomplishments using a colourful, allegorical and engaging event concept, this prestigious gala honoured its founder and his family, thanked its partners and raised the awareness of numerous potential contributors in a memorable setting.
It was with great interest in the cause and a feeling of collective pride in the Foundation’s accomplishments that Mina Martini agreed to head up this exciting project. “This was the first time the Foundation had ever held such an event, and we are happy to have helped it highlight a very significant and moving anniversary,” says Dominique Kennan, President of Mina Martini.
